Camberley Boys Maroons  2

Crookham Rovers Raiders  3

Home game today at Frimley Park Lodge with the 6th Form pitches unavailable. Change round positionally today with the line up: Matthew S in goal, Jack and William fullbacks with Josh and Christy in the middle. Midfield, Kieron and Andrew wide with Steven and Daniel in the middle. Matty and Matthew R up front and Matthew G and Peter first change.

With so many positional changes the Maroons took a little time to settle, however their commitment form the kick off against a physical Crookham Raiders (CR) team was 100%. The opening minutes were well-contested with CR looking to hit the ball long to their centre forward, the Maroons adopting a more patient passing game. The Maroons were first to threaten, a great move down the right saw Jack, Andrew and Daniel exchanging passes, a cross came in from the right but nobody in the box to take advantage.

Moments later good work on the opposite flank Steven and Daniel combining and working the ball to Kieron, he in turn played the ball up to Matty and his good pass put Matthew R clear on the left but unable to test the keeper. 7 minutes in and a CR throw midway inside the Maroons left flank, the ball came back to the throw-taker who was unmarked and had time to send a high cross into the Maroons penalty area,  the ball was allowed to bounce near the penalty area, a CR player headed the ball unchallenged towards goal and the CR centre forward took advantage being first to react and prodding the ball into the corner of the net to give CR a 1-0 lead....more
