Camberley Boys Royals  2

Hawley Raiders Colts  1

A full squad once again allowed Royals the luxury of playing exactly the same team for the second week in succession. Winning the toss, they elected close their league campaign with the bright sunshine at their backs.

Camberley dominated the opening stages, forcing Hawley to pack out their defence. With numbers back behind the ball, Royals found it tough to work openings. Scott tried his luck from distance, and then seemed to get the ball stuck under his feet when handily positioned. Soon after, and Charlie almost applied the finishing touch after good work down the left from Ben.

As Scott moved forwards, he played a perfect return pass to Alex who had continued his run, taking him deep inside the Hawley area, before finishing into the corner of the net to break the deadlock.

The game had opened up a little, although both defences remained on top. A second goal for Camberley would give them some breathing space, and Alex F was so close to providing it. A fine strike was heading for the corner of the goal before the Hawley keeper finger-tipped around the post - a great save...more
